Ms Diana Ho of Royal Wings is no stranger to this belief. With a passion for bringing joy to others, Ms Ho aims to provide quality travel experiences for the corporate world through her expertise.

Having first set up the company in September 2013 with a slogan of “We. Connecting. People.”, Ms Ho aims for Royal Wings to help others soar and connect them to their ideal travel experiences. Initially having worked 15 years in sales with a tourism background, Ms Ho felt it was the right time to take charge of her own future after many years of careful preparation and inspiration from many friends to set her own terms, being free from conventional workplace stress.

Ms Ho notes that planning an itinerary itself can be rather simple, but planning it well that caters to the clients’ needs, ensuring the quality of the trip, and focusing on details such as dietary restrictions of the clients can be substantially more time consuming. Being a firm believer of doing something right, or not at all, Ms Ho does her utmost to impress clients with her initial quotations and itinerary, using a bit of “pepper and salt” strategy.

Quality control is ensured through her long-term relationships with various tour guides, bus drivers and hotels, and constantly reviewing feedback from customers to ensure quality tours. Ms Ho credits her success today to her ability to react and solve problems on the fly.

As a resulted-orientated person, she applies an 80/20 rule when focusing on preparation and constant improvement. Thanks to her perseverance, Royal Wings now has steady client referrals as well as from online traffic.

Ms Ho treats her stress as a motivation, and believes in making people happy. This philosophy applies not just to her clients, but also towards her staff and her long-term partners. Satisfaction comes from not just from her clients enjoying a trip, but also from knowing that she has helped others around her gain clients and grow their own businesses, including hotels, coach companies and tour guides.

Believing that a happy work environment translates to happy clients, Ms Ho motivates her long-time staff members by giving them a lot of autonomy, practicing open communication and understanding them individually.

Ms Ho notes, “Being a travel agent is just like being a messenger, and what counts the most is the message that I deliver.” With her tenacity and her commitment to better corporate trips, Royal Wings will soar and develop.
